One-Shot-a-Day

{Project "52"} Week 7

And another trip - Berlin - it welcomed me with the sunshine of spring. And with the sunshine of my love. The new hairstyle needed to be captured and the wind wanted to portray it in the best light - it recreated thousands of euros of wind equipment, it played the role of a hairstylist with utmost flair, and it brought in the sunshine for that glimmer of golden thread. And in a sense, this is the beginning of a spring - when things get renewed - when the wind picks up our spirits and the sun shines its warmth on our blessed forehead like a warm, loving kiss.

{Project "52"} Week 6

The first week of February brought quite a weather in Slovenia - the fallen snow started feeling very comfortable under the heavy downpour of warm rain. So comfortable that it didn't even realize when the ice wind came that it will be turned into an ice cover weighing down every branch, transforming bushes into caramel mustaches made of ice - thin, heavy, and sparkly.

{Project "52"} Week 5

Travelling can be exciting - even if today's security measures sometimes put dents into one's memories about the glamour of travel, one can still feel the small bits of special experience when traveling. But it is never too nice when there are problems with the means of transport - a old tyre needing replacing. It is of course, more organized - you don't get stranded without connection, you don't get to wait in the cold and rain, and you see the competence in every movement that the repair person makes. And off to the next destination!

Lent festival, Maribor

For more than a week, the street festival Lent has been collecting the crowds here in Maribor and although I made a few short visits through the week, I spent a more meaningful amount of time there only today. Leaving the house, I was equiped with a Leica M7 and its smaller companion. The roll of fill still needs to be developed but the few pictures with the digital are already here. The lightness of being able to take quick pictures with an uncomplicated camera cannot be understated in this case. When one deals with lots of action, and especially with children, it is difficult to predict the movements they are going to make, or the direction in which they are going to sprint to. They were such a joy watching that I wanted to reach out to those soap balloons and play with them myself (admirably, I restrained myself). And then walking around looking for those balloon hearts, I felt the thrilled every time I saw one across the field and pounced.
